We offer Tanpuras (often spelled Tambura) in stock by Srishti Musical or Hiren Roy and Sanjay Sharma by special order. Every instrument is carefully monitored through each stage of production and air shipped only. In stock instruments are generally limited to instrumental tanpuras, if you have a request let us know?

Started in 2001, we've returned to the original vision. Instruments of the highest quality, carefully monitored during all phases of construction.

Usually our in stock tanpuras will be 4 string or 5 string as that is what's most popular although 6 string is available to order on any model for an additional fee.

Srishti Deluxe Tanpura

4 String

Suitable for vocal or instrumental use.

Aged premium mahogany (tun) wood. Fully carved and decorated in colored penwork. Rosewood swirled pegs. Has a larger body than the standard tanpura, very resonant with a beautiful finish. Strings are set to a typical instrumental tuning with a very light wound 4th string although thicker wound strings could be used for vocal tuning of 1 octave lower if desired. Comes with a very nice rexine case included in the price. This tanpura has been air shipped (as are all of our instruments) to preserve its quality.
