Only 2 per year, this is a very nice decorated Miraj style surbahar with a great sound!

7 main strings and 14 sympathetics featuring a 3/4 open jawari. All natural materials for nuts and ebony bridges. Nuts (Meru) are custom hand carved. Customized pegs all around with lowest sympathetic peg offset. Sympathetics have their own langot mounted inside the tabli sound hole. Large natural upper gourd.

Aged mahogany was used, it has a 16+ inch tabli. The footrest is integrated to fit well in the case. Decorations are a combination of Miraj style inlays as well as penwork. The one in the pictures is the first, each will vary somewhat depending on type of celluloid (opaque or semi) that's available and they like to make each just a little different for uniqueness.

Fiberglass cases for surbahar and top gourd are also Miraj made and very nice with a fitted plush lining.

This surbahar has been air shipped to us (as are all of our instruments) to preserve its quality. Full final fitting done here to your specifications. Extra fitted resin bridge is complimentary on this instrument and included. Designs will vary a bit, each is unique!
