Portable harmoniums that collapse for easier travel, both in-cabinet and suitcase styles. Preferred by many players performing in kirtans/bhajans. Also check out our smaller standard cabinet harmoniums for similar use and portability.

A good harmonium is hard to find. Even well known brands can vary in quality as often they are subcontracted to various shops to make. We have years of experience with free reed instruments of all types and full setup is included. Currently our main offering is SWARANJALI harmoniums with the occassional DMS or Bina harmoniums as well as scale changers in Kolkata. Our harmoniums are limited in quantity and all are made to professional standards and tuning without exception. In addition, our packing is meticulous and all instruments are handled with great care. A440 tuning or equal tuning is complimentary always. All harmoniums need tuning and adjustment when they arrive from India, I take the hassle out of it as well as travel to India regularly and have a good working relationship with most makers.

Excellent Delhi style harmoniums made in Northern India. These feature fantastic sustain and fitting and I was lucky to find these craftsmen after years of looking for instruments to meet my expectations!

Model 509 Deluxe

This style of harmonium is perhaps the most popular in the world. Made by many craftsmen in North India they can vary greatly. I have never seen as good of sustain as these have. This one features:

3 1/2 octaves with piano cut keys ~ 42 notes
Dual horizontal reed banks in Bass/Male layout.
9 stops (4 air control, 1 vibrato, 4 drones)
Coupler
7 fold side fold bellows with easy action and fantastic sustain
No particle board in the tone chamber! Removable glass jali
Finish available in light or dark, made of kail wood which is similar to pine
Come with a well made heavy duty zippered padded bag
Always A440 equal hand tuned brass reeds.
Great for either kirtan/bhajan use or classical and easy to transport

Model 509M mini kirtan harmonium

Similar layout as the Bina 23b and others. Made by many craftsmen in North India they can vary greatly. I have never seen as good of sustain as these have. This model features:

2 3/4 octaves with piano cut keys ~ 32 notes. These are also ordered in F to C which many prefer due to the shorter keyboard rather than C to G.
Dual horizontal reed banks in Bass/Male layout.
4 stops (2 air control, 2 drones)
Top fold bellows with easy action and great sustain for this size of instrument.
No particle board in the tone chamber! Removable glass jali
Finish available in light or dark, made of kail wood which is similar to pine
