A professional level Vilayat Khan style from Sanjay Sharma of Rikhi Rams Music in Gol Market. This one is a few years old, nicely broken in with fitting in 'as new' condition. Originally brought over to the US by Hidayat Khan for his student. Comes with a form fitted black Rikhiram sitar case.

This sitar has a lower action height, progressive curved frets and grommet and post sympathetics. In very good condition, the body looks to be made by Halder, has a mahogany finish and not too heavy of a finish. Very good sound and sympathetic response and not too thin in the tabli. Bridges are nylon and had a recent fresh jawari service done. Looks like the gourd was originally patched in a small area, probably in the Delhi shop as Halder doesn't usually send like this but otherwise in VG shape. See pics.....priced to sell, new ones are going for much more so this is a good option given the construction and handling done by the original customer.
