New Hiren Roy Kalka Sitar

Full decoration

In the same line of his other full decoration mahogany sitars, this model features a 'Kalka' design which has similarities to what we call a Manipur design. We get 1 or 2 per year. On these as well as the other full decorations (also called #1 elsewhere) Barun uses his most aged wood with a thickness that will give it a long life and deep tone with proper break-in and playing.

Approximately 13.5 + inch tabli, the model shown here also has an 'OM' etched in the penwork on the striker, a feature left to the whim of the maker

We are the only shop to air ship from Barun, the bridge work is perfect and never redone. Each sitar comes with a fiberglass case for the sitar and the top gourd and accessories.
