SHIPPING RATES Posted shipping prices are lower 48 US states only!! Shipping charges are added after online ordering depending upon what you order and the quantity. You will not see the shipping charges at checkout as we do the final processing manually on a separate system. This insures that no errors are made due to the wide variety and sizes of instruments & accessories. For postal shipments you will be emailed from our shipping program with tracking number. Instrument shipments tracking will be emailed directly from FedEx. If you don't receive it let us know, we generally ship next day unless closed for yearly India trips, etc. Below you'll find our standard shipping rates. We try to keep it reasonable and in some cases it actually costs us more to ship than what is posted due to packing. There is a minimum shipping/handling fee of $5.50 in all cases. Shipping charges above that are billed at the rate we get from USPS, FEDEX, etc. plus any packing fees. Please be assured that we are not in the business of making money from shipping which is expensive enough as is so on multiple item orders have no worries. Please email us with any questions prior to ordering, thanks! We do not mark up our shipping rates other than the cost of packing and handling. US shipping rates and information SMALL ITEMS (Books, DVD's, CD's, accessories, etc.): $5.50 minimum shipping charge per order regardless of amount. Increased weight/size charge is per what the actual cost is. For the US, shipping is done via 1st class mail when possible but if it's better priority mail will be used starting at $9. Books are sent via media rate unless flat rate priority makes more sense. Please note that usually with small items you are not charged past the first $5.50 but it all depends on size and type of product. Orders with books and DVD's only will be shipped via media mail rate unless otherwise specified by you as it's a lower rate. Below rates are US only, International orders shipped at our cost plus materials, please email us for a shipping quote if in doubt for International shipping.
If your order has a wooden accessory box it's $14 (US 48 only) and any other items can usually be included. International order for accessories: Depends on weight/size. Expect $17.50 to $21 for up to 8 oz. weight depending on your country. We do not ship to South America via USPS any longer, sorry. We also do not ship to Russia or mainland China except Hong Kong. DVD orders: 1 to 2 DVDs: $6 (US) or $17.50 to $21 (International depending on country) 3 to 4 DVDs: $9 (US) or $39 (International) INSTRUMENT SHIPPING COSTS: includes full insurance and all packing supplies Instruments usually ship via FedEx. Carefully packed and fully insured. Since the Covid outbreak the rates have increased dramatically and tracking accuracy decreased. I only charge what it costs and pass on my discount to you.
SITARS, SAROD, HANSA VEENA, etc. (US 48 only) : $120 to $200 per instrument via FedEx ground depending on your location STUDIO/ELECTRIC SITARS. (US 48 only) : $100 to $150 per instrument depending on your location SAROD, HANSA VEENA, MOHAN VEENA etc. Same as studio sitar rates SURBAHAR,.... Custom quote before shipping, depends on size. Expect around $400 to $475 for shipping a surbahar currently. TABLA SETS: Tabla sets are shipped directly from India, the cost is included in the price. INSTRUMENTAL TANPURAS: $65 to $90 per instrument depending on your location. VOCAL TANPURAS: No shipping charge if sent directly from India, otherwise quote depends on address and will be given upon request. OTHER INSTRUMENTS: To be determined upon order, we will not charge you until we've sent you a quote. When you order an instrument, any accessories will have no shipping charge as everything can be combined. For US shipments of instruments we use FedEx. For small items we use US mail. CANADA: Usually for small items it starts @ $9.50 for 1st class mail and goes up according to weight. If in doubt simply check ahead after your order by emailing us. OVERSEAS: We welcome overseas orders! Items are send via 1st class mail unless fragile in which case priority mail boxes are used. Expect shipping times of 10 to 14 business days for 1st class or priority mail. OVERSEAS INSTRUMENTS: Sometimes we can send an instrument to our customers in Europe and Asia for the same price as the US if it's being sent directly from India. This doesn't apply to countries in the farthest zones such as Ireland and Iceland, etc. Certain instruments cannot be sent directly. South American, Australian, etc. customers need to contact us first as it's usually quite expensive. We use FedEx for overseas shipping, in some cases we will use regular air mail depending on your country and size of the instrument. |
