Hiren Roy Sitar 2004
Full
decoration ~ pre-owned
Just in, this
sitar was originally sold by us in around 2004 (?) when
we had Sitars Etc., the owner never played it and
kept it exactly as it was new and now has sent to us
on consignment. At the time this was made Barun
used his most aged wood stored by his father.
This one is medium thickness, wood is seasoned very
nicely and a minimum of shop rash. Very nice sustain
and smooth subtle response. This came from a
shipment where the polish and fitting were quite
good.
At the time he was overhanging the frets slightly so
this one would be good for those wanting to play
around with low action, etc. A fitted replica bridge
made here is included for this purpose
Approximately
13.5 + inch tabli, angoor patta design in the
carvings. Original cream resin bridge with original
new jawari. This instrument comes with one of our
replica bridges included as an extra which allows
you to have a copy of your original at all times.
The tone is classic half open with a great sustain.
Polish is original and stable with minimum checking
and shrinkage under the celluloid. Peg trimming and
setup has been done.
This sitar comes with fiberglass
cases for the sitar and top gourd and the standard
accessories package I offer with all instruments.
This is a consignment sitar here at the shop which I
was very happy to accept.
