Well, after 15 years of being asked for student sitars I worked out an agreement with Musicians Mall (old AACM) to carry some of their instruments. The SK Meyaraj instruments are student level but perfectly acceptable in sound and playability for the price. Generally open jawari, designs will vary somewhat. Each instrument goes through my rigorous setup process here and comes with our standard accessories of 1 free DVD, strings, hook, 3 mizrabs, and chalk. Please note these instruments are not air shipped to keep the price point down.

Student sitar #1: Full decoration with bone bridges, open jawari and nice sympathetic resonance. 7 main strings and 13 sympathetics. Grommet and post eyelets for the sympathetics. The top gourd is molded fiberglass and the instrument is spray polished. Fully setup and ready to go, includes double tumba standard gig bag.
