The latest under our Srishti brand, structure by the Halder family in Kolkata made from aged teak wood. Fully carved and decorated in colored penwork . Floral carved main pegs with inlaid hardwood sympathetic pegs and natural bridges with a half open main jawari and open sympathetics. 14 inch tabli....Modern style tarab string outlets . Medium size natural upper gourd  for a nice weight balance. Brass langot and synthetic bridges with half open jawari.  You will not find a better teak instrument anywhere for the price!! This sitar has a light natural shellac finish that highlights the beautiful wood.

Each one is unique and very slight variations may be present. Comes with a double tumba fiberglass case for this sitar.

This sitar has been air shipped (as are all of our instruments) to preserve its quality. Your purchase includes 3 mizrabs, string hook, chalk, a set of strings, and 1 free DVD from our instructional videos.

Srishti instruments are our 'in house' label and final setup and fitting done here before shipping. You're getting the exact same quality as you'd find in expensive boutique stores at about 25% the cost and better fitting and jawari. Only a few per year, they don't stay around at the shop for long.

This exact sitar is in stock, we had some fun with it and upgraded the upper nut, top tumbi and has a full extra set of bridges.....Very nice Ravi Shankar type sound. Comes with a black double tumba fiberglass case.
