Sitarsetc.com now a part of Rain City Music!!
Really it's true this time. Absolutely...Uh huh.... For those who don't know the history here it is in boring detail.... I started Sitarsetc back in 2001 and it soon got quite popular. So busy in fact that I was forced to choose between it and my job at the time. So I went with the job which is pretty good as far as jobs go but I still hate it, that's another story. Alex (Bharat) Salinas took over Sitarsetc and ran it quite well for a few years, business increased and more importantly position in Google. Unfortunately my friend Alex left us prematurely for higher realms a little over 2 years ago. I helped out with the site and wanted to buy it back but there were some issues at the time that prevented it so it stayed with Govind (Bharat's son) and family. This was the time Rain City Music started as I had purchased all of the production of Srishti Musical that had been on order so as to save this line of instruments that I had started back in 2001. So now, 2 years later I've taken over the Sitarsetc website and we're trying to decide what exactly to do with it. As you can see from my constant updates I'm quite happy with Rain City Music along with all the friends I've made through it so it will be the main site. We'll keep Sitarsetc.com running simply because it has such good search engine placement until the RCM site catches up, which it will eventually as the same programming techniques have been use albeit with no keyword spam. We welcome all of our customers and friends to place their order through Rain City Music primarily however Sitars Etc will continue to work and be updated to a degree. Same service as in the early days and as you get with Rain City Music. You'll notice a lot of the gifts and such will be gone soon as is the dreaded Kombucha tea! This is not to be snobbish but my main focus has always been Indian Classical instruments and the music, with a particular emphasis on sitar. That's not to say you won't see some other things indirectly related, you will....it's just the tip of the iceberg as so many things are in the works....just trying to focus on our main offerings at the moment! Please email us with any comments or suggestions?
Thanks everyone for your support!
