Made from very good aged mahogany, Jayanta SenGupta has a long history of making decent sitars. He has made them for Pandit Manilal Nag and Mita Nag among others. We were fortunate in that he had a nice half decoration ready for fitting so we commissioned it and took a nice photo of him as well 8^)~ half closed jawari, a good long term sitar for a serious player.

Sen Gupta instruments are generally custom order, we will be getting approximately 4 to 6 instruments per year from them, they don't make many per year and they are in great demand.
