style Custom teak Concert Sitar
On my last visit to Miraj I stopped by to
visit Ayub and he was working on this sitar.
What could I do? It sold before I could listed
but sharing anyway. Another can be made if you
wish.
This is a custom all Miraj made instrument
. Aged teak wood, natural fittings and carved by
Ayub himself in a traditional penwork style. 7
mains and I opted for 12 sympathetics which I
actually prefer from a mechanical perspective.
Unique features only seen by Ayub like his top
gourd mount, etc. make this a unique nice
instrument.
Sound is more of an open jawari, nice fitting
all around! a
Comes with fiberglass cases and acessories
Designs vary, no two are exactly alike! Current
in stock instrument has extra large top gourd,
fantastic open jawari/sound.
