Gulab patta (rose) design in half decoration. Synthetic bridges and langot and a really nice wood choice. Suman Karmakar continues to impress me with his attention to sound and detail. He's heavily influenced by the old parlor type dark "butter smooth" sound of Hiren Roy and his instruments reflect this. A highly under-rated maker maintaining traditional style of fitting and never mass produced. Recommend for players who like a decent half open sound. Add and extra bridge with sitar purchase for $50, will be fitted and jawari complete and will keep a duplicate here for future needs. I've seen this type of instrument from P&Bros advertised elsewhere as 'full decoration' which is not correct. This instrument includes careful handling, air shipping, and fiberglass cases so please keep this in mind when comparing if you see it elsewhere, pics are of the actual in stock sitar.
