A design idea that took a good year to develop due to the design of the inlays! 

7 main strings and 13 sympathetics featuring a 3/4 open jawari in the style of Pandit Ravi Shankar. All natural materials for nuts/bridges. Nuts (Meru) are custom hand carved. Hardwood pegs, custom sympathetic pegs and langot. Even the beads are hand made in Miraj..

Aged mahogany was used, it has a 14 inch tabli , there is no celluloid or penwork but the decorations are hand cut designs that are inlaid. Dual swan carved upper nuts with bone sleeves for the strings. Ebony bridges.

Fiberglass cases for sitar and top gourd are also Miraj made and very nice with a fitted plush lining. Please note each instrument is unique with slight variations in carving/inlay. This sitar has been air shipped (as are all of our instruments) to preserve its quality.
