Burmese teak from reclaimed wood, over 100 years old.. A touch of fanciness but keeping to the simplicity of the style. Necklace design inlay on the gulu. The old teak gives it a great sustain and sympathetic response.  Custom made hardwood tuning pegs that are gold tipped. The mains are round style which isn't common any longer but easy on the hands. Hand carved upper tuning beads. The finish is quite dark so the pictures don't quite do it justice, in sunlight you will see aubergine highlights in the color as in the picture with the open case.

The tabli is 13 1/2 inches wide and the sitar is all Miraj made including the case. Jawari is closed but just a touch of open on a harder stroke. Includes a fiberglass case and accessories. Please email for a demo.

This sitar has been air shipped (as are all of our instruments) to preserve its quality.
