Another incredible instrument from Mohan Lal, this is a true travel sitar  with a focus on playability and sonic character. Has a 12 1/2 inch tabli and made from mahogany. Full decoration carvings on the tabli, smooth on the back tumba which is carved from a solid piece of wood, not plywood. Bridges are natural materials.

The tone character is half open jawari, professional style action and touch and fully capable of playing both classical and modern styles.  Rajesh's (Mohan Lal) instruments continue to gain quite a bit of attention, especially for those who like Nikhil Banerjee or Vilayat Khan style.  Due to very limited quantities they are often sold before they arrive, please feel free to email with your questions and/or to be notified when the next one will be available if not in stock.
