Mohan Lal Sharma Sitar
Teak
concert sitar in munda style by Rajesh Sharma, son
of Mohan Lal Sharma
Kharaj Pancham
(Ravi Shankar style)
This are some of the best sitars I have
ever played, in the top 10 definitely.
Rajesh Sharma was trained well by his
father Mohan Lal, who has since passed away. His
main shop is in Patna but he has a small shop in
Varanasi also. Mohan Lal's knowledge came from
almost 30 years of working with Radha Krishna Sharma
and was the only person fully trained by him.
This sitar features premium teak wood,
Japanese celluloid and each sympathetic peg inlay
was carefully made by Rajesh. It is one of his top
models and made in the munda (means 'bald') style.
These are made with 2 bridges
allowing for gandhar pancham or kharaj pancham use!
Tonally with a light
touch response and low action. Please view the Youtube demo on this page below.
Includes fiberglass case.
IN STOCK ~ one is here ready to go, it's a
'demo' model so slightly used. includes free extra
main bridge.
