Hiren Roy Sitar 2012

Full decoration ~ pre-owned

Just in, this sitar was originally sold by us in around 2012 and has been played in a bit and fully fitted again to original. At the time this was made Barun was using his most aged wood stored  by his father. This one is normal thickness tabli, wood is seasoned very nicely and a minimum of shop rash. Good sustain with a wide spectrum sound. Medium sympathetic response and a darker tone.

Approximately 13.25 + inch tabli, angoor patta design in the carvings. Original resin bridge with new jawari. The tone is classic half open with a great sustain. Polish is original and stablilized here with minimum checking and shrinkage under the celluloid. Peg trimming and setup has been done. Original action height as per Barun, can be lowered if you like.

This sitar comes with an MMC fiberglass cases for the sitar and top gourd and the standard accessories package I offer with all instruments. This is a consignment sitar here at the shop which I was very happy to accept.
