Full Decoration with colored penwork!

Called the 'Standard' because it sets an acceptable standard for what an affordable concert sitar should be. Made from aged mahogany (tun) wood. Fully carved and decorated in colored penwork . Rose carved main pegs with inlaid sympathetic pegs and carved tumba mount. Modern or traditional style tarab string outlets (varies). Very large natural gourd upper tumba . Brass langot and synthetic bridges with open jawari.  You will not find a better instrument anywhere for this price!! This Srishti standard comes in a dark traditional shellac finish.

Each one is unique and very slight variations may be present. Comes with a fiberglass case for the sitar. Generally the top gourds have been running too large for any cases made.

This sitar has been air shipped (as are all of our instruments) to preserve its quality. Your purchase includes 3 mizrabs, string hook, chalk, a set of strings, and 1 free DVD from our instructional videos.
