The 678/22 Pyramid sitar
string set was developed 10 years ago especially
for us with special alloys and tensile strength
to satisfy the demands of many sitar players.
Due to the extra MA and SA strings this set
meets the requirements of most common tuning
styles. Pyramid does offer other sets ("golden",
etc) at a lower cost but they are quite inferior
alloys (and cheaper) and incorrect gauges.

Will fit any style of tuning as it comes with 2
jori strings and 2 baaj strings. Includes full sympathetic string
set. There are no better sitar strings!
Also comes with 1 extra
MA string for a limited time. This is the
same 1st string used by Pandit Ravi Shankar and is not available commercially. Devoloped by a close friend of ours specifically
for Panditji, it's a
recreation of the famous Sheffield string from
England, exact .012 over 400,000 psi hardened
carbon steel.

setup, sympathetic strings included!. No fancy
packaging , a good value for the
money. For Gandhar pancham tuning
please let us know when ordering if you'd
like to substitute and extra jori string for
the kharaj Sa. Strings are pre-cut and not
looped.

Sympathetic strings are not looped in either

SHEFFIELD ALLOY REPLICA ~
we have a small
quantity of string which is a close
match of the famous Sheffield wire that
was preferred by many artists 50 years
ago. The company has long been out of
business but a good friend had some made
with the same recipe for Pandit Ravi
Shankar. Pre cut, not looped. Over 400
psi tensile strength hardened carbon
steel. Sizes shown are all that's
available.
