Made from aged mahogany and gourds from Maharashtra. Features natural material for all fittings. Main bridge composite natural/synthetic, sympathetic bridge is natural. Mother of Pearl inlay, 2 part mogra/phulia. Good resonance, slightly open. Bashir has made sitars for Shahid Parvez in the past and this is what they were like! A nice, well fitted sitar at a good price, extremely black finish so hard for the pictures to do it justice. Suitable for D tuning, solid build. This sitar has been air shipped (as are all of our instruments) to preserve its quality. Please consider this if comparing to other instruments.
